BoxIt is a shop-and-ship service that moves your packages from U.S. stores to your door in Egypt. To do that well we collect a small amount of personal data — and we treat it with the same care we treat your packages.

Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly when you create a BoxIt account, place a shipment, or contact support — including your name, email, phone number, billing address, and Egyptian delivery address.

We also collect information that's generated automatically when you use our app or website: device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app interactions, and shipment events from our logistics partners.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Create and operate your BoxIt account and U.S. forwarding address

Receive, consolidate, and ship your packages from the U.S. to Egypt

Calculate shipping, customs, and insurance fees

Send tracking updates, delivery confirmations, and service announcements

Provide customer support in English and Arabic

Detect fraud, enforce our Terms, and meet legal obligations

Sharing With Third Parties

We share the minimum information needed with the partners that help us deliver your packages — including U.S. warehouse operators, freight carriers, customs brokers in Egypt, and last-mile couriers. Each partner is bound by contract to protect your data and use it only for the specific service we hire them for.

We never sell your personal information.

Payments

Payments are processed by PCI-compliant third-party payment providers. BoxIt does not store your full card number on our servers — only a tokenised reference and the last four digits, which we display so you can recognise your card.

Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with tax, customs, and accounting obligations. You can ask us to close your account and delete your personal data at any time — except for records we are legally required to retain.

Your Rights

You can review and update most of your information directly inside the BoxIt app. For anything you can't change yourself — including a request to export or delete your data — email the address at the bottom of this page and we'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure aggregate traffic. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings; the site will keep working but some features may be slower or less personalised.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, restricted internal access — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we recommend choosing a strong, unique password and keeping your contact details up to date so we can reach you if anything looks unusual on your account.

Children

BoxIt is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy whenever our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and we'll notify you in-app or by email before any change that materially affects how we use your data.
